Welcome to CEPIN!

Our Web site is designed to promote awareness among emergency responders and all people with disabilities. It was also developed to set the stage for collaboration before disasters strike.   In so doing, we also encourage networking among emergency responders and people with special needs for the purpose of creating these connections on a local level.

The CEPIN Web site fully acknowledges FEMA’s broad definition of people with  disabilities as outlined in its Comprehensive Preparedness Guide 301: Special Needs Planning (http://www.fema.gov/news/newsrelease.fema?id=45436). The desire to be more inclusive in connecting with people with disabilities is reflected in our Web site.

As you navigate the site you will notice that it is fully 508 compliant.  The CEPIN site provides screen readers for the deaf-blind and a host of other enhancements for people with other disabilities.
